Top Three Email Delivery Tips

Email is one of the most important aspects of your website. Whether it’s a blog, e-commerce, or a social site or some other focus, email is critical for communication with members, customers or followers. Yet, it can be one of the most difficult of tasks to get it delivered. This article focuses on some tips to help you avoid the spam box and achieve higher delivery rates.

Tip #1

Change the content of email templates for your script. The more original your email content is, the higher the delivery rate. Whatever you use as an SMTP relay, whether it’s the free BryZar SMTP, or others, if your email content looks spammy from Gmail, Hotmail, AOL or others, it will go to the spam box.

Tip #2

Never use your website server to send email. Instead, use a separate email server such as the free SMTP service from BryZar. Using your main server for email can cause you issues if some emails are marked as spam as your entire server IP can get blacklisted. This will cause issues not only for your email delivery but for your entire website as ISPs will block it.

Tip #3

Watch your email bounces. If you have a lot of emails bouncing, your email server can be suspended. The best thing to do before sending any newsletters or other emails is to remove emails that have bounced before. It’s very important to keep an eye on your bounce rate as this impacts your sending reputation which is a key to email deliverability. ISPs look at the sending reputation when filtering emails. If you have a bad sending reputation, the ISP will filter your emails and they won’t even arrive at the user’s email or spam box as the ISP blocks it before it gets there. This will leave the user never knowing that an email came to them.
